Fraudulent automated phone calls and text messages
First State Bank Central Texas is alerting customers of a potential phishing scam targeting customer account information.  An automated telephone message and/or text message is being delivered to customers stating your account or debit card has been compromised and temporarily disabled.  THIS MESSAGE IS FRAUDULENT.  It then states to reactivate the account or debit card, enter 1, and then proceeds to ask for your social security number and account number or your debit card number, expiration date and pin.  DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS REQUEST.  First State Bank Central Texas would never solicit account information through an automated telephone message.  If you have responded to this automated telephone message, please contact your local branch as soon as possible.

Calls and texts are being made to CELL phones concerning fraud on debit cards.
. First State Bank Central Texas does not use automated phone calls or text messages to our customers.

First State Bank Central Texas would never ask for your card number or PIN.
